Grey Water Reuse

While grey water reuse can be installed to plumb to and operate toilets and to provide for lawn irrigation, such systems are typically not economically practical for single home installations and are more showcases than practical considerations. At a minimum grey water reuse requires the following components, none of which are inexpensive:

• Independent grey water plumbing system ($500 in materials)
• Grey water catchment tank ($1000 minimum)
• Grey water treatment train to remove detergents to allow for application of grey water as irrigation ($6000 est.)
• Independent grey water pressurization system ($750).
