Antique Joglo Houses

The Joglo design features an old Javanese classic which is used since generations for family houses in East Java. We source old teak houses in Java repair and redesign them as necessary and ship them to Costa Rica. The houses come in all sizes and layouts but they all follow the same ancient design principles which are in some cases up to 200 years old. If the houses where owned by higher ranking officials or wealthier people they often feature several layers of highly carved beams on the center four posts. We also source antique entrance doors and carved wall panels from the same houses and use them as room dividers or behind the center bed.
